Pure and Pristine Pressure Washing

House Washing Brisbane | Pressure Cleaning & Soft Washing

A worker wearing safety gear sprays a strong jet of water at a house siding from a pressure washer wand.

Brisbane’s warm, humid conditions can lead to dirt, mould, algae and grime building up on exterior walls, driveways, paths and outdoor areas.

Professional house washing helps remove this build-up and restore a cleaner, better-maintained appearance without using excessive pressure on surfaces that require a gentler approach.

Pure and Pristine Pressure Washing provides professional exterior house cleaning throughout Brisbane, using a combination of controlled pressure cleaning, soft washing and low-pressure methods depending on the surface.

Whether your home needs exterior wall cleaning, driveway pressure cleaning, roof cleaning or a complete exterior refresh, we assess the property first and select the most suitable cleaning method.

What Is House Washing?

House washing is the professional cleaning of a home’s exterior surfaces to remove accumulated dirt, mould, algae, grime and other organic build-up.

The cleaning method depends on the material being treated.

Hard surfaces such as concrete may respond well to controlled pressure cleaning, while painted walls, cladding, timber and other more delicate surfaces often require lower-pressure or soft-wash techniques.

The aim is not simply to use as much pressure as possible. A professional house wash should remove unwanted build-up while taking care of the underlying surface.

Why Exterior House Cleaning Matters

The outside of your home is constantly exposed to weather, moisture, dust, vegetation and airborne contaminants.

Over time, this can leave exterior surfaces looking dull, stained or neglected.

Regular exterior cleaning can help:

  • Remove visible dirt, mould and algae

  • Improve the overall presentation of your property

  • Keep exterior surfaces better maintained

  • Reduce slippery organic build-up on suitable outdoor surfaces

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, sealing or other maintenance

  • Improve the street appeal of your home

  • Prevent heavy build-up from becoming more difficult to clean later

For Brisbane homeowners, exterior cleaning can be particularly useful where shaded or moisture-prone areas encourage mould and algae growth.

House Washing Methods We Use

Different materials require different cleaning methods.

Using high pressure on every surface can damage paintwork, timber, cladding and other exterior finishes.

That is why we choose the cleaning method according to the surface and its condition.

Soft Washing

Soft washing uses lower water pressure combined with suitable cleaning solutions to remove mould, algae, dirt and organic build-up.

It is often suitable for surfaces such as:

  • Painted exterior walls

  • Weatherboard

  • Cladding

  • Rendered surfaces

  • Timber

  • Some roofing materials

  • Other surfaces that could be damaged by excessive pressure

Soft washing allows the cleaning solution to treat the build-up without relying on aggressive water pressure.

Pressure Cleaning

Pressure cleaning uses controlled high-pressure water to remove stubborn dirt, grime and staining from durable surfaces.

It is commonly used for:

  • Concrete driveways

  • Paths and footpaths

  • Pavers

  • Patios

  • Pool surrounds

  • Some brick surfaces

  • Other hard outdoor areas

The amount of pressure used should always be appropriate for the material and condition of the surface.

Low-Pressure Cleaning

Some areas, including certain roofing materials and solar panels, require a more specialised approach.

Low-pressure cleaning can help remove surface dirt and organic build-up while reducing the risk of unnecessary damage.

Our Exterior House Cleaning Services

Pure and Pristine provides a range of exterior cleaning services for Brisbane homes and businesses.

Exterior Wall and Cladding Cleaning

Exterior walls can develop mould, algae, dirt and staining over time, particularly in shaded or moisture-prone areas.

We assess the wall material before selecting the cleaning method.

Painted surfaces, weatherboard and cladding generally require a gentler approach than concrete or other durable materials.

Professional exterior wall cleaning can help restore a fresher, cleaner appearance while protecting the surface from unnecessary pressure.

Driveway Pressure Cleaning

Driveways are exposed to vehicles, weather, dirt and organic growth throughout the year.

Controlled pressure cleaning can help remove:

  • Built-up dirt

  • Grime

  • Algae

  • Organic growth

  • General staining

Cleaning a driveway can make a noticeable difference to the overall presentation of a property, particularly when combined with house washing and path cleaning.

Path and Paver Cleaning

Paths, footpaths and pavers can become dirty and slippery as grime and organic growth accumulate.

Pressure cleaning suitable surfaces can help restore a cleaner finish and reduce slippery build-up.

Roof Cleaning

Roof cleaning requires care because roofing materials can be damaged by inappropriate pressure.

Depending on the roof material and its condition, we use suitable cleaning methods to remove dirt, mould, lichen and other exterior build-up.

The goal is to clean the surface while taking the roofing material into account rather than simply applying maximum pressure.

Solar Panel Cleaning

Solar panels are exposed to dirt, dust and environmental build-up.

Appropriate cleaning can help keep the panel surface clear of accumulated dirt and grime.

Solar panels require suitable cleaning techniques rather than the same pressure used on concrete driveways.

Gutter Cleaning

Leaves, twigs and other debris can collect inside gutters and restrict rainwater flow.

Our gutter cleaning service can help clear accumulated debris and accessible blockages so water can move through the guttering and downpipes more effectively.

Regular gutter maintenance can be particularly useful before periods of heavy Brisbane rainfall.

Window Cleaning

Clean windows can improve both the exterior appearance of your property and the amount of natural light entering your home.

Where appropriate, we use pure filtered water for exterior window cleaning to help achieve a clear, streak-free finish without leaving unnecessary soap residue.

Deck and Timber Cleaning

Decks, fences and other timber surfaces need a gentler approach than concrete.

We use suitable cleaning methods to remove dirt, mould and surface build-up while taking care of the timber underneath.

Patio and Outdoor Area Cleaning

Outdoor entertaining areas can quickly accumulate dirt and organic growth.

Depending on the surface, professional exterior cleaning can help refresh patios, paved areas and pool surrounds, making them cleaner and more inviting.

Soft Washing vs Pressure Cleaning: Which Is Better?

Neither method is automatically better.

The right choice depends on the surface.

Pressure cleaning is generally better for:

  • Concrete

I’m the owner and founder of Pure and Pristine Pressure Washing, which I started in early 2023 when I was 18. The business began simply. I went out into my local neighbourhood, knocked on doors and offered to help homeowners clean and restore the exterior of their properties. By focusing on doing quality work and looking after every customer, word quickly spread and the business began to grow through referrals and repeat clients. From the beginning, Pure and Pristine had a bigger purpose for me. I started the business to help fund my dream of representing Australia in sailing at the Olympic Games. That dream is still very much alive, but the business has grown far beyond what I originally imagined. Today, we help hundreds of clients across Brisbane each year keep their homes looking clean, well maintained and sparkling all year round. When I’m not working with the team or helping our customers, I spend almost all of my time training, competing and travelling for sailing events around Australia and overseas as I continue chasing the Olympic dream. What started with knocking on doors in my neighbourhood has grown into a business I’m incredibly proud of — built on hard work, reliable service and a genuine commitment to doing the job properly.
